How do I schedule an appointment? If you know which artist you want to get tattooed by, email him/her directly. You can also call or stop in to schedule a consultation. (973-812-9500) We offer free consultations with all of our artists. Consultations are not always necessary, but they are an option if you feel you need to discuss your tattoo idea with the artist before committing to an appointment. We recommend consultations for larger pieces and cover-ups – small tattoos do not typically require a consultation. We do NOT schedule appointments over the phone.
-
Do I need to leave a deposit? For the artist to get started on your custom tattoo, a minimum of a $50 deposit is required. Smaller pieces typically don't need deposits; however, if the tattoo is personalized, we recommend a consultation with the artist that may lead to a deposit. Your deposit will go towards the balance of the tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable and will be revoked if you are a no-show for your appointment. Ses requires a minimum of a $100 deposit.
-
What is the pricing for tattoo work? The shop minimum at Blackwork Tattoo is $100. Tattoo pricing varies greatly depending on the size, detail, and location of a tattoo. "Small tattoos" does not mean it will be $100. Unfortunately, we are unable to give accurate price quotes! Scheduling a complimentary consultation with the artist of your choice or just stopping by will provide you with a better idea.
-
Do you take walk-in's?We do take walk-ins if we have an available artist. Walk-in's are first come first served.
